The 5 Love Languages

During the pandemic and lockdown period, my partner and I both read a great book called “The 5 Love Languages” by Dr. Gary Chapman. Whilst the book was aimed for couples, upon some research/Googling, it turns out that the author has also written editions for singles, children, teenagers to name a few. This didn’t surprise me because while reading it, I couldn’t help but think everyone would benefit from improving their communication skills with one another. In the book, the author outlines different languages people “speak”. The 5 languages are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service and Physical Touch. The image below brilliantly summarises how to speak your loved one’s love language.

If you’re interested in finding out what your love language is, I highly recommend you read the book. Otherwise, this online quiz can also help you identify your love language: https://5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/love-language

I would love to know what your love language is in the comments below!

Personally, my love language is Acts of Service, and it didn’t surprise my partner at all because my profession Chiropractic is all about Acts of Service! It is a privilege and honour to help people in achieving their health goals and improving their quality of lives using my hands to analyse, detect and remove subluxation which allows the nervous system function at its peak potential. I am very grateful for every opportunity in serving my community. If there’s anything I can do to support, you can reach out at info@provolutionhealth.com.au or 6299 2660.
